Lovely meal with my family. Meg and Katie were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Great choice of food which was delicious! Will definitely go again.
On arrival staff very pleasant and friendly. Shown to the table and drinks ordered. Fantastic menu. Vegan vegetarian and meat dishes available. I found I liked the Vietnamese chicken wings with hot sauce. You can have mild sauce if required. I also ordered the sweet potato fries and garlic bread. Absolutely delicious. Also the drinks menu is vast. Prices are very reasonable.
Stopped in for food as we were passing. Both me and my partner had warm ciabatta sandwiches (Brie & cranberry, cheese & Welsh onion) with a drink, possibly the nicest sandwiches I’ve ever had! Could not recommend more
In the cute little town on Llandovery we stumbled upon this absolute gem of a find. The service from the moment you walk in the door until you leave is top notch, it was a quiet Sunday night but the high standard never slipped. Our food came out in a timely fashion and was hot and delicious. The bear burger was extremely tasty and the meat melted in your mouth. The hot dog was also very nice and we loved every bite. We would highly recommend this pub as a stop when travelling through this peaceful rural town.
We went out for my GF birthday and decided to have a meal out somewhere in Llandovery. Well this has to be one of the best meals we have had. Both of us like our burgers and we ordered the BBQ Bear Burger and we loved it. I don’t really like chips too much so I asked if these could be swapped for sweet potato fries which was no problem. Although it was an extra 1.50 and we wasn’t told that there would be a charge for “ Upgrading “ them but apart from that it was great. I really recommend this place for a meal!
A little gem! Fantastic, friendly service and delicious food. Was a lucky mistake, had planned to go elsewhere but we were so glad we ended up at the Bear! Definitely recommend. The vegetarian Singapore noodles were amazing, in fact there is a great range of veggie and vegan food. Partner had a meaty burger which he loved. Good children's menu too, not just the usual chicken nuggets and fish fingers (although I think those were there too!). We'll be back!

The Bear inn is situated in the middle of town, you can't miss it as its bright orange on the outside! Staff are really helpful and there's plenty of room inside the bar area as well as around the front. There's some seating outside too. The meals we had there were delicious and plenty of it. We didn't see the rooms so can't comment on those but I'm sure they would be fabulous if the rest of the pub is anything to go by
